It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arnaud van Amerongen on August 19, 2023, after a valiant battle against cancer. Despite his unwavering energy and unyielding optimism, Arnaud succumbed to the illness, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration and a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Arnaud was a true character, a man whose enthusiasm and forward-thinking approach to life were infectious. His perpetual good mood and boundless sense of humour were truly appreciated.
His contribution to the Office Coffee Service (OCS) industry was significant and transformative. Arnaud’s role in pushing premium coffee through high-end machines at ETNA and AEQUATOR set new standards for excellence and quality. His innovative ideas and dedication to providing exceptional coffee experiences elevated the industry as a whole.
Arnaud was a true leader, both in business and within the community. His tenure as a long-serving member of the European Vending & Coffee Service Association (EVA) demonstrated his commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the industry. From 2003 to 2013, Arnaud represented OCS and vending machine manufacturers as a vital member of the EVA’s Executive Committee. He took the helm as President from 2007 to 2013, guiding the association through a period of expansion and diversification.
Beyond his professional achievements, Arnaud possessed a unique ability to seamlessly blend fun with seriousness. His approach resonated with colleagues, associates, and friends alike, making him a beloved figure within his field.
Arnaud van Amerongen leaves behind a legacy of achievement, camaraderie, and genuine friendship. He will be remembered as a great President, an exceptional colleague, and a dear friend. The void left by his absence is immense, but the memories of his laughter, wisdom, and boundless energy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
